Vol 2, xvii, 534 pages, 84 plates including photogravure frontispiece plus 7 folding maps and 8 sketches in text. Original covers, top edges gilt. Shelf wear, covers slightly stained, some foxing, contents clean. Considered by Rosove & Spence to be the best with typographical errors and mistakes of the earlier editions corrected. Vol. I.
