This 7.375 x 9.5 inch collection with 12 pages of text and 16 pages of lithograph plates is the 1948 first edition of this title as stated on the copyright page. This copy is in very good condition with edge and corner wear showing to the paper-over-boards covers. The bottom corner shows a bump or crease and there is a small spot on the top edge where the paper has chipped away on the cover. The text pages are in fine condition with the plates in beautiful color featuring reproductions of lithographs done about 100 years earlier. The text describes the plates and the overall ballet from which the plates were derived. The jacket is in very good condition with wear showing to the folds and with two missing chunks from the top front edge of the jacket. One missing piece is about one-by-one inch square.
