Decorative green publisher's cloth with white and blue image of Tuscany depicting a double line of cypresses leading to an iconic Palazzo Vecchio type building, top edge gilt, title in gilt on spine. Vol. I 383 pp, Vol II 377 pp including index.Vol I shows some water damage to spine and occasional water stains to text block. Occasional starting at the signatures. Volume II more solid, both volumes show edge wear at spine tops. These books are lavishly illustrated. The illustration index for Volume I is 4 full pages and includes 10 photogravures, Volume II lists 5 pages of illustrations, and includes 20 photogravures.
