The Reticule and Pocket Companion; Or, Miniature Lexicon of the English Language, Lyman Cobb, Harper & Brothers, New York, 1847, 832 pp, full cloth, 3 x 2.5 , thick 64mo. In fair condition. Ex-library of the Lebanon Historical Society. Moderate wear to extremities with scuffing to corners, end bands. Corners are worn to the board with chipping to end bands. Cloth on spine beginning to peel away. Overall scuffed and slightly faded. Gilt finishing on spine bright. AK 1850 written in old hand on marbled front fly leaf. Inner hinge tender. Notations and doodles on rear end papers and title page. Interior lightly toned with minor instances of foxing. Free of known marginalia. Binding intact. Please see photos. The smallest American dictionary before 1861, first published in 1834! Meant to fit in a pocket or quite literally a purse or reticule. Seller Inventory # COLM1846ABEN
