About this Item
The third book in Conrad s Lingard Trilogy, published almost twenty years after the first two. This copy is in good condition with a small tear to the head of the dust jacket, the usual paper toning and some light soiling. Protected by library wraps, the dust jacket is slightly faded. The design is done in slate blue, cream and gold of two vessels. Very Good Condition: 8vo: original green cloth with publisher s device embossed in center front and gilt lettering on spine: front gutter cracked: slight scuffs to the corners: pictorial dust jacket in cream and slate with brown lettering at top and two sailing vessels at sea set against the slate; spine has title at top in brown with author s name below and 9/~net below that over a continuation of the scene from the front.
