4 7/8 inches x 7 1/8 in., two reproductions of designs sent by Gordon Ross, and the text of the Gordon Ross letter to Newton, and story of the bookplate; [12]pp. (8 pages of text). Dark blue, title-printed paper wrappers, sewn with dark blue cord. This copy is in its original brown paper mailing envelope with the A. Edward Newton "Oak Knoll" Berwyn, Pa., U.S.A. return address; postmarked: Philadelphia, PA. 1928; with a 3 cents purple Washington cancelled stamp present. Hand addressed in ink: Mr. Ernest Kirkwood, 1247 Carlyon Road, East Cleveland, Ohio. The brown thread tie is present on the back of the envelope; the envelope shows light wear, dusting, a few small spots. The mailing envelopes are actually scarcer than this Christmas booklet.
