Very dark (black?) cloth over bds w/ gilt lettering on spine, publisher's thumb-indexing to fore-edge. Light spotting & soiling to exterior. Light soiling to first few & last few pages, internally very clean & supple. Printed card "Compliments of Melvin H. Byers, Adjutant-General" tipped-in at TP. 520pp + 91pp appendix.
