"The Red Gum: with a Discussion of The Mechanical Properties of Red Gum Wood" Introduction: "Only in the last few years has enough southern red gum been marketed to warrant the National Hardwood Manufacturers' Association in giving it a class and a special grading. Previously to this time the manufacture of gum was in an experimental stage, owing chiefly to its tendency to warp and twist, and also to the fact that the supply of other hardwoods was so large that there was no incentive to work so low-priced and supposedly unstaisfactory a wood as gum." Card cover, black titling, fold-out map at front, some black and white photographs and drawings, 56 pages. Previous owner's stamp to front and some handwritten numbers, punched in holes for filing. Shipping charges are calculated for a standard parcel under 1 kg. Additional charges will apply for heavier shipments, but not until the customer agrees. Canadian customers, please note that applicable sales taxes will be added. Please contact us with any questions you might have. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Seller Inventory # 010540
