This VG quality and likely first edition book was published in 1931 by the Saalfield Publishing Company and is 7-5/8" tall with 216 numbered pages of text. This book--one-piece red binding with black lettering--is square, rather clean, free of edge dings with the top front corner lightly bumped; the head and heel of the spine are also very lightly bumped, with no damage; the bottom edges have a virtually no wear. The interior is completely free of writing, stray marks, stains of any sort and page damage of any type. Though both hinges are strong, an inch of the paper covering the front hinge has torn. The text paper is moderately toned, though it is darker at the edges, but still flexible; however, the RFEP does have a 1/2" tear at the edge in the most heavily toned portion of the page. The only illustration in this book is the frontis. The only list in the book, on the title page, lists only the first title in this series, also published in 1931. The book has no remainder mark and is not a former library book. The VG- quality jacket is moderately faded as well as soiled, with small chips at both front corners with similarly small chips at the head and heel of the spine, but no lettering is lost.
