About this Item
np (34pp), 26 b&w illustrations. In a protective clear acetate dustwrapper. Raymond Pettibon first came to prominence during the late-seventies with his raw, literary-inflected imagery for Black Flag, Sonic Youth, and SST Records. Over the subsequent decades, the erstwhile Southern California artist has deservedly become an international contemporary art icon. Limited to four hundred and fifty copies, "As Always and So On" is his 2006 self-published artist book cum 'zine in the time-honored DIY, xeroxed format of his earlier, self-published works. It is populated with images of Raymond, Che Guevara, Batman and Robin, Stalin, Ronald Reagan, Jughead, Nat King Cole, and even the Holy Bible! A brand new, pristine, guaranteed authentic example of this exceedingly uncommon Pettibon tour de force HAND NUMBERED in black ink by the artist on the front cover, as issued.
