Detailed Seller Information

The Quill & Brush was officially founded in 1976 by Allen & Patricia Ahearn. The Ahearns issued catalogs for several years prior to founding Quill & Brush (as "Allen Ahearn, First Editions") and Allen, a well-known book man and life-long collector himself, has over 45 years of experience in the rare-book field. Patricia, an equally well-known book woman, passed away in 2014. The firm is currently operated by Allen and daughter, Beth Fisher, who has 25 years of experience cataloging and selling rare books. Pat & Allen authored two well-known books on book collecting, COLLECTED BOOKS: THE GUIDE TO VALUES and BOOK COLLECTING (a primer and price guide), and have compiled over 200 individual Author Price Guides. The latest edition of the COLLECTED BOOKS was compiled with the very able assistance of Beth. At the Quill & Brush, we specialize in first-edition literature, mystery/detective fiction & poetry, as well as offering collectible books in all fields. Our goal at the Quill & Brush is to offer the finest copies of books available at a fair market price. ~ Please visit our website QBbooks.com ~
