A very good copy, for its age of this play script, undated but copyright 1901. No Dust Jacket ( as issued?). Cover: blue cloth covered boards with gilt scene to front and gilt lettering to spine; overall clean, gilt to front very bright, gilt to spine faded; spine generally faded and with substantial rubbing to bottom; rubbing to all edges and corners, commensurate with age and use, but overall a nice copy. Internally: generally clean and soundly bound; act title page are on flimsier paper than the rest and that four Acts 2 & 3 are loose, with darkening and crumpling to edges, but in situ; gift inscription for 1926 to front free end paper; damp marks to top outer corner of both paste-downs and end-papers, possibly caused by glue leakage as no sign of water damage to outer covers, text block unaffected; some darkening to page edges; possibly hand-cut. 18 beautiful tipped in colour plates, as per listing; Many black and white line drawings. viii, 198 pp. Seller Inventory # 002582
