Bottom spine edge is missing, cloth cover is lightly soiled, sun faded spine, moisture stain bottom edge last page, also book store stamp. Overall sound and clean. Dust jacket has light edge wear, some small chips, old tape repairs on inside and on outside back top edge; overall still very pretty. A fine collection of British authors and artists in aid of the Red Cross and the Order of St. John of Jerusalem. A lovely portrail of Queen Mother Elizabeth taken in Buckingham Palace by Cecil Beaton and a copy of a beautifully hand written letter by Her Majesty. Contributons include: Gracie Fields philosophies 'On Getting Better'; Walter de la Mare writes two little poems, 'And So To Bed' and 'Joy' as does T.S. Eliot; stories by Daphne du Maurier, A.A. Milne, Eric Ambler and many, many more. A great collection of talent. Bookseller Inventory # 54420
