In 8. Dim. 24x18 cm. Pp. (16)+534. Prima edizione del 1732 di questo interessante quaresimale del predicatore gesuita bresciano Cesare Calino (1670-1749). L'opera è una raccolta di prediche per il periodo della quaresima. Alcuni argomenti dei sermoni: vizio, nemici, occasioni, giudizio universale, rispetti umani, colpe veniali, paradiso, inferno, pensieri, conversazioni, benefici divini, morte, purgatorio, Santa MAria Maddalena, delitti della lingua, ricreazioni ecc. Purtroppo l'ultima pagina con gli errata risulta mancante. Bella vignetta al frontespizio. Bella legatura in piena pergamena coeva con titolo in oro al dorso. In buone condizioni. Copertina in piena pergamena coeva con titolo in oro al dorso in discrete condizioni generali con usure e parti mancanti ai margini e dorso. Legatura in buone condizioni ma una lieve rottura al frontespizio. All'interno le pagine si presentano in buone condizioni con rare fioriture. Lievi gore d'umidità marginali. Mancanze dovute a rosicchiatura di topo da pag. 227 a 240 con perdita testo. All'angolo inferiore destro da pag. 216 a 269 senza perdita di testo. L'ultima pagina degli errata mancante. Some issues treated in sermons: vice, enemies, occasions, universla judgement, human respects, venial guilties, paradise, hell, thoughts, conversations, divine benefits, death, purgatory, Santa MAria Maddalena, murders of language, funs ecc. Unfortunateky the last page with errata is missing. Beauitufl vignette in the title page. Beautiful full parchment coeval cover with golden title in the spine. Binding in good conditions with a slight cracks in the title page. Inside pages are in good conditions with occasional foxings. SLight humidity stains in the edges. Missing parts due to mouse signs from pag. 227 until 240 with loss of text. In the lower right corner from pag. 216 until 269 with no loss of text. The last page of errata is missing.
