1948. No Edition Remarks. 632 pages. No dust jacket. Red cloth with gilt decoration. Vol. CCXV. Contains black and white illustrations throughout, with a couple colour plates also. Pages are moderately tanned, but text remains clear. Plates are bright. Binding is firm. Mild cracking to front hinge. Boards and spine have minimal shelf-wear, with mild corner bumping and crushing to ends. Gilt remains bright. Moderate rubbing and scuffing overall, with some noticeable marks also.
