1st USA Edition 1930. Printed a year after the UK edition but using the UK sheets. A highly sought after edition with the wonderful 12 full page art deco illustrations by Vera Willoughby. Very un-common and the first I have encountered with it's original white dustjacket. From the library of David Gilson & Chris Viveash. With the bookplate of Chris Viveash, an author and contributor to the Jane Austen Society Report. David John Gilson a highly respected Jane Austen Scholar and bibliographer of Jane Austen's books. Book is very good++ and bright. Contents good. Pages a little age toned. The wrapper is good++ and quite bright. Lightly marked and soiled. Edges rubbed and nicked with minuscule loss. All overseas orders with priority shipping (8 days+) will be sent by either tracked airsure or international signed for. The slower postal rates (14 days +) will be sent by standard airmail and will take longer to arrive. We recommend to all our customers to use the priority shipping as this is a much quicker and secure method of shipment.
All books where possible will be sent in wrap around cardboard boxes and bubble wrapped.
