Glossy folio folder containing six silver gelatin black and white photographs and seven stapled groups of press information about the production of the film ("Synopsis," "Production Notes," "About the Cast," etc.). Folder very good or better with bumping, creases and a small stain; interior contents fine. The press kit for the release of the 1986 film, *Maximum Overdrive*, based on Stephen King's short story, "Trucks." The story follow a group of humans trying to survive after the world's machines suddenly gain sentience and turn on mankind, with stars Emilio Estevez, Pat Hingle, Yeardley Smith, and Laura Harrington. The film was an uneven mishmash of violence and black humor that proved both a critical and box-office bomb, resulting in it being King's first and last time in the director's chair. While the final result may have suffered from King's inexperience and drug use ("I was cocked out of my mind"), I'm here to say that this then-12-year-old cataloger love it!.
