Title: The Precursor's Mission - Limited Edition
Publisher: Libra Press
Book Condition: Fine
Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good
Edition: Limited Edition
This is a documentary history of the 15th of California's Franciscan missions, San Juan Bautista, consisting of relevant documents and excerpts from documents dating from 1797 - 1978. The sources include letters from the Franciscans who resided there, church records, and accounts of the mission as described by visitors and other secular sources. It is one of just 350 copies produced and is signed on the first endpage by Paul Salomunovich, former music director of the Los Angeles Master Chorale and one-time faculty member at at least three southern California universities, including USC. This copy is in Fine condition with one corner just barely bumped and no other faults or blemishes. The dust jacket is not clipped but has a few tiny edge chips or tears (all less than 1/4"), a sun-faded spine, and very slight soiling. A very scarce title, it would make a wonderful addition to any collection of materials related to California's missions or Catholic history in general. Will be bubble-wrapped and shipped in a box to insure safe delivery. Bookseller Inventory # ABH502
