Flawless brand new 1st Edition/1st Printing hardcover and dust jacket boldly and legibly SIGNED by Herbie Hancock on the title page without personalization and in our presence at a recent event in Los Angeles. "Arguably the most influential practitioner of modern jazz piano since Thelonius Monk. From the bebop stylings of Bud Powell and Wynton Kelly, the classical legacy of Ravel and Debussy, and not least from the diverse genres of contemporary music exploding around him, Hancock has forged a style all his own." -- NPR. Herbie waxes eloquent about his struggles and triumphs, his family and his faith (he has been a practicing Buddhist for 40 years), and most especially, about his music. About the book, Quincy Jones says, "If you like piano or jazz, or music, or great stories, or life itself, you will love this book."
