Deep red gilt-edeged leather over marbled boards. Gilt lettering on spine, and five gilded raised bands. Marbled endpapers. Light scuffing to bottom right corner of front cover, scuffs to extremities, else fine, with clean, tight interior. 448 pages, profusely illustrated with B&W engravings. A very nice copy, NOT an exlibrary book. Edition not stated but believed to be a first. This is Vol. II only of a 5-volume set.
