"Pont Neuf: the localization of a tetrahedron in space ( 1 4JUNE69) The piece is complete in its present state.* It is composed of four groups of photographs; the groups have no fixed physical relationship to each other and may be juxtaposed, mounted or hung in any constellation that is desired. The photogjaphs in each group were all taken from the same spot and act as coordinates referring to that point. Since four points, considered as the vertices of a solid figure, determine a tetrahedron, a four-sided volume may be localized or created in the mind from the visual information provided by the photographs. But the groups of photographs also may be used to create a 3-dimensional sculpture. Each group may be folded and fastened into a cube; the cubes may then be raised on thin wood or wire supports so that the four solids are in the proper spacial relationship to each other.
