Complete in 3 Volumes. Sm. 4to. xvi,358pp. vii,363pp. vii,365pp. Blue cloth with gold lettering on spine. Each volume has a frontispiece, each a different b/w photographic reproduction of a painting. Each volume is also edited with Introductions, Appendices and Bibliographies by R. Crompton Rhodes, author of The Strategy of Shakespeare, Black Sheep: A Comedy, and other titles. Richard Brinsley Sheridan (1751-1816) was a prominent Irish playwright and Whig statesman. Volume one contains a preface, bibliography f the Early Collected Edition, and the works The Rivals, St. Patrick's Day, The Duenna, and A Trip to Scarborough. Volume two contains The School for Scandal, The Critic, The Camp, and The Forty Thieves. Volume three contains Pizarro, Clio's Protest, with other Poems, Longer Poems, Fugitive Verse, Prologues and Epilogues, and finally, Miscellanea and Apocrypha. Spines slightly sunned. Edges rubbed.
