An important early map of Toronto, at the time called York. Shows how the early town is laid out with streets in checkerboard pattern near the harbour. Also identifies the location of the garrison and blockhouse, the first map of Toronto to do so. Indicates where H.M.S. Anandaga schooner was wrecked before being raised by Lt. Joseph Bouchette and where it was again grounded. Dotted lines show the breaking of ice in spring.
