Copy from the series 'Complete Illustrated Works' of Maupassant, signed by the artist Steven Spumier RA (1873-1961), from his library and rebound by his wife Gertrude in full leather binding with embossed title & cypher to front panel, and gilt lettering to spine (five raised bands). There is general wear and a crack to the spine below the bottom raised band where it meets the front board but otherwise good; crack between prelims and title but binding otherwise good.
