Title: A Personal Narrative of the Outbreak and ...
Publisher: Printed at The London Printing Press, By R. Craven, Lucknow
Publication Date: 1879
Binding: Original Cloth
Book Condition: Very Good
Edition: Second Edition, Revised & Corrected.
Pp. vi, 161; 70; xxxviii. Errata slip tipped-in at Appendix C. List of Illustrations includes the gilt illustration on the front cover + 6 more (2 of which are folding plans). Original brown silk cloth with gilt-stamped illustration of "Memorial Well near the Assembly Rooms", gilt spine title. Two familial gift inscriptions to front blank, one dated 27/7/81 from Samuel Clement, Cawnpore East India to his sister Emily, the other by Arthur Edwin Clement on Armistice of the Great War and his wedding day, Nov. 11, 1918 presented by his mother, Emily. Expertly rehinged some while ago, front endpapers quite thumbed and dust soiled, some thumbing and minor stains throughout, rear endpapers mildly foxed. Page xxxvii/xxxviii of the appendix torn, lacking bottom half, and I believe lacking the final leaf. Even with the final leaf missing, overall quite good in the original binding. Very interesting historical account. Size: Octavo. Bookseller Inventory # 24330
