ilkie and Robinson and others, 1810. Hardcover. 415 pages plus plates. Condition: Fair. No Jacket. 2nd Edition. This is volume one of the second and enlarged edition of Pennants Works. Brown buckram cover with black label and gilt lettering to spine. The overall condition of the cover is grubby but only consistent with age. The spine is bumped at the top and bottom with some show through There are also tears of approx 1 inch at both ends of the spine. All four corners are also bumped with some show through. Other than this the cover is tight.Internally there is considerable yellowing inside the front and back covers and the endpapers. From there to page 415 there is some slight yellowing but generally the condition is very good. At the back of the volume are 16 illustrations on card some double page maps etc. all are heavily foxed around the edges but the drawings themselves are good. Volume 1 includes Chester in detail Oswestry Bangor Llangollen Flint and many other more northern areas.All in all a good tight copy of a scarce item. Seller Inventory # 000470
