This is a bound compilation of 16 folio color plates of game birds drawn by Lynn Bogue Hunt. Each bird variety is described in text on the rear, along with an inset ad for the Du Pont de Nemours arms company. The plates includes the wild turkey, ring-necked pheasant, Wilson's snipe, brant and black brant, mallard, bob-white, golden plover, canvas-back duck, greater snow goose, etc. These are wonderful plates, each signed by Hunt and with the 1917 copyright at the edge. The plates measure 10" x 11," approximately 12" x 14" including the margins. The plates are generally clean although there are some smudge marks from finger prints in the margins of some of them, and the last two have a little paper loss at the bottom which could easily be cropped for framing. Bound in three-quarters leather with cloth boards; the leather spine is very badly worn although holding tight. Seller Inventory # 011023
