Original blue cloth covered boards with title in pale orange label on spine. Some foxing to front and rear end papers, generally book is clean and tight. Dust Jacket has title on front and engraving from the picture Maecenas presenting liberal Arts to Augustus, which apart from a tear on rear , and some clips on base and head of spine good. .Author has chosen to make a new approach to a rich and complex period of Italian painting.
