About this Item
Text/Bright, clean, As New. Taupe-brown linen boards/Fine. DJ/None. Frontispiece. First published 1905. 2nd novel by vernacular yarn-spinner supreme of Cape Cod from Joseph C. Lincoln (1870-1944). Historical fiction. Story, illustrated, of 13 year-old Bradley Nickerson about to join the household of two distantly related maiden aunts. Awaiting for the stagecoach of the last leg of his journey, Bradley learns his aunts are disparged by the locals. He shares the coach with the much admired Cap'n Ez (Ezra Titcomb) and, as luck would have it, the two take an immediate liking to one another. This chance meeting develops to what Lincoln describes as being "partners of the tide", or, kindred souls through thick and thin. Seller Inventory # 007688
