Hardcover first American printing with dustjacket, book is clean and attractive with a couple of minor flaws only: very slight edge-tanning to the blue cloth, a bump to the top rear corner, the binding is tight and square and the contents are fine, the jacket has moderate edge-wear at the corners and spine-ends, some rubbing on the rear panel, and the blue portion of the spine is faded, the front panel illustration of children riding horses is in nice shape, the jacket is clean, the original price (2.00) is present and a professional (removable) mylar cover is included. Original Cloth. Condition: Very Good. Whitlock, Pamela (illustrator). First Edition. The spine is a little faded with some creasing at the top and bottom. There is some fading around the edges of the front and rear panels and the bottom right corner of the front panel and the bottom left corner of the rear panel are both discoloured as if they have been damp at some time - no signs of the pages having been affected by this however. The page edges are a little browned with a few dark spots. The names of two previous owners have been written near the bottom of the front free endpaper but the pages are otherwise clean and unmarked. Illustrated by Pamela Whitlock. No jacket. The spine is faded at the top and bottom where the jacket is damaged with a little white marking also at the bottom and there is a little fading to the corners. The page edges are a little browned. Light spotting to the endpapers and in a few other places but the pages are generally otherwise clean and unmarked. The jacket has browning to the spine which has chipping with a little loss at the top and bottom. The front panel has a quarter inch chip out of the top right corner, a little edge chipping and light discolouration. The rear panel is browned with some chipping along the top and bottom edges.
