Octavo. 223pp. [1]. Tan illustrated wrappers with black and and red lettering on the front cover. An Argentine edition of prolific Polish-Jewish historian Philip Friedman's (1901-1960) comprehensive and powerful work, a detailed study of the Auschwitz Concentration Camp and the atrocities that took place their during the Holocaust. Consisting of copious amounts of first hand accounts and documentation from the camp, the work is illustrated throughout with b/w photographic reproductions and drawings. Text throughout in Yiddish, with an additional title page in Spanish. Wrappers age toned, with some light rubbing, creasing and/or chipping to extremities. A closed tear at the top edge of the front cover. Interior with some starting on the gutter of the interior back cover. Book block tight overall. Faint markings in red pencil on the interior front cover and the ink stamp from a previous owner on the half-title page. Wrappers in good, interior in very good condition overall.
