No date is given - presumed 1840. Size: 3 1/4 x 5 1/4 inches. Page number:202. Hardcover. Marbled paper boards with leather spine and gilt lettering. A child sized book. Two stories that translate as The Easter Eggs and Towards the Gleaming, the later being 'par l'auteur de comment le jeune Henri apprit a conaitre Dieu' (by the author from whom young Henry learnt to know God). With three engraved images including that on the title pagen-. Large lettering makes it easier for a child to read. Condition: Very Good. The cover is a little worn, the binding remains tight. The beginning of the first story is marked with ink where some words have been annotated or underlined. One page in particular is marked and torn. An inked inscription is written on one of the end papers; also a couple of inked marks within. There are other marks and occasional spots of foxing. A sweet little book. It has clearly been used for its intended purpose but remains sound and is very pleasing. Seller Inventory # 000939
