Oblong 8vo. Unpaginated [48]. Marbled boards backed in red leather. Lacking most of spine strip, binding remains sturdy. Scrapbook of newspaper clippings compiled by an unknown individual, whose pencil writing inside dates most articles between 1920 and 1935. Apparently a former ledger, some manuscript text is visible beneath clippings. Toning throughout. Leaves from original ledger removed at margin to accommodate thickness of added material. Filled with news-clipped articles and photos of biological anomalies, natural phenomena, and unexplained occurrences. Articles include 7'10 "Giant" Robert Wadlow, conjoined twins Violet and Daisy Hilton, 100-lb."Bouncing Baby" Helen Karsulvz, the World's Smallest Child, Biggest Bell, Tiniest Steam Engine, "Pigmies of Dogdom" (chihuahuas), lightning, snow, and ice storms, mysterious property fires, and a "Weird Sea Monster" caught at Block Island and embalmed for show.
