probably original full vellum binding, 232pp, some dust-soiling, library markings of Dublin religious residence, text is pristine. Soave, an Italian cleric and educationalist, was a pioneer in elementary schools teaching in Lombardy. He published these children's stories first in 1782, and they became very popular, even though it is children's literature as filtered through the mind of a well-meaning civil servant.
