A military man who served with the Cold Stream Guards in the Boer War, who by the end of his military career, had rose to the rank of Major General. Light browning on free eps. Binding sound. Dark green cloth boards with gilt lettering on front board. Gilt vignette of frontispiece on front board. Spine and strip of cloth adjacent to spine on rear board faded. Overall condition VG.
