Paperback, brown linen-like paper with black printing on front cover, 9" x 5-7/8", one color plate advertisement, 219 pp. Moderate wear, no major flaws. Good to very good condition. Newton, Iowa was the home of the Maytag Corporation which was the major employer for over a century, until it was purchased by Whirlpool in 2006 and began to shut down operations in Newton. This cookbook, however, was published while the founder Frederick Maytag was still alive, and the Maytag family contributed at least one recipe (Cr. Seller Inventory # 002541
