Cloth covers have wavy decorative texture and "Ann Byrd" in gold on spine. Remnant of glued paper inside front cover, front free end papers have corner torn off, pages moderately foxed. Byrd was a teacher and "manifested a deep interest in the real welfare of the pupils under her care." She began to speak at meetings when she was 25 years old and died at the age of 32.
