Spaight, Jr. on front pastedown, ownership inscription on titlepage. Pencil notations on fly leaf. Moderate to heavy foxing throughout. Good. The fourth and last of Taylor's full-scale books on the Constitution, in which he fully expounds his philosophy of government. Taylor was one of the major political theorists of the early United States, as well as the most articulate and persuasive exponent of states' rights, agrarian school.
