About this Item
Side stapled wraps, with a front cover that features a full page color illustration of Bobby Seale, Eldridge Cleaver and a Ericka Huggins. 12 by 10 inches. 36 pp. A single issue of this magazine issued sporadically as an insert in the Montreal Star newspaper. This issue with a five page article on the Black Panthers, written while the author interviewed members in Oakland. While ostensibly written to shed light on the Black Panther Party, the author includes many preconceived notions and misconceptions, and seems to portray them more as terrorists as opposed to community activists. The magazine is in GOOD condition with moderate toning, minor soiling and a small stain on the lower left edge of the front cover. There is a thin razor slice running parallel to the bottom edge of the rear cover, about 1/2 inch up and running about 4 inches from the corner. This is present on the last pages to page 27.
