About this Item
Catalogue to accompany an exhibition held at the Redfern Gallery, Burlington Gardens, London, W1 - April-May 1940. According to the introduction by St. John Hutchinson, nearly all the pictures were by modern artists and therefore not prohibitively expensive to acquire (spacing between lines of text: quadruple? - see image example). There are eight tipped in (some colour/some b/w) plates from Edouard Vuillard to Richard Sickert; although the exhibition displayed 160 works of art. Condition: sound - the card covers are a little buffeted at the edges. Spotting on the book's edges. Internally, tanning with v. occasional spotting. pp. 54/4to. Printed on laid paper. Please note that, depending on destination, we may request an additional payment to cover any extra shipping/postage charges. Proceeds to Amnesty International. Abe2328.
