Synopsis: Author John Bradley looks at the pedigrees, records and stud performance of the top 50 pacing sires of the modern era. These are current sires or sires that are close up in the pedigrees of today's horses. Bradley analyzes each horse sire by sire, dam by dam, cross by cross and nick by nick. He suggests links in the pedigree of each horse leading to its success; reviews the bloodlines that seem to work best with each stallion and mare line; and discusses strategies to take advantage of the strength of each horse. The book's handsome, simulated-leather binding makes it an ideal gift for fans of the Standardbred. It's the perfect companion to Bradley's Modern Trotting Sire Lines.

About the Author: John Bradley is internationally recognized as a leading Standardbred pedigree authority. His inside knowledge of the Standardbred breed, the bloodlines, horses, races and people is a result of more than 32 years in the industry. He was a member of the U.S. Harness Writers Association for more than 30 years. Since 1985, Bradley owned and operated Bradley Standardbred Agency, a full-service bloodstock consulting firm in Versailles, Ky. He also was the general manager of the Tattersalls Sale Company, located at The Red Mile in Lexington, Ky. Bradley was a successful market breeder, with yearlings selling at the major sales.
