Octavo softcover in stiff pictorial wraps. 507pp. with black and white woodcut print illustrations by Howard Simon. Blue endpapers. Clean and unmarked. This is a decent copy of the first ever paperback edition of Moby Dick, most attractively illustrated. Despite condition notes, it is still fairly well bound and clean especially for age and manner of printing. Moderate to heavy wear to spine exremities, with cover torn 2" at bottom of front hinge. Moderate edgewear besides. Moderate spine creases. Rear cover with moderate rubbing. Corner crease to rear cover. Page interiors mildly toned.
