Synopsis: Tomassi's debut book of poetry - "to help us feel the cold seeping through a father's glove as he guides his children's sled...'sand, lime and portland', the musical might not feel like a big accomplishment to a poet convinced that we "neither destroy nor create, but only shift atoms,... But it puts us close enough to feel the blister rising under the hammer he once held... Eerie echoes of the clanking, creaking, roaring and whistles that Tchaikovsky'd as Papa lobbed looks at the kid...In every clank and bellow , an old haunt lay in wait: Lower East Side.. stuggled to pinpoint absurdieties and frustrations of modern-day employment.."
