About this title

Synopsis:

THE VILLAGE OF MACKENZIE

Nowhere in the State of Texas will you find the city and community of Mackenzie -it is strictly a product of my imagination. Supposedly the town is located halfway between Anton and Littlefield, in Hockley County, and has a Spade Ranch heritage. A town actually located in this space would be in Lamb County, would probably have a Yellowhouse Ranch heritage, and wouldn't have survived because of being too close to Littlefield.

In creating the town I borrowed the idea of a Spade Circle from Anton, then made it three times as large, installed a. city hall, a croquet court, and a small park complete with benches. From Wolfforth I borrowed the concept of Loop 193 which becomes Main Street and runs in front of the school.

Writing Metaphysics gave me a lot of laughs -- I hope reading it does the e same for you. But if you are looking for a moral or a sermon, then put this book aside and pay careful attention to the preacher next Sunday!
