Six postcards in the unusual envelope, issued by the Japan Tourist Bureau to promote "the eternal peace to the whole world." In Japanese and broken English. "Hiroshima, which had been proud of the city of military preparations, has reconstructed step by step by the sturdy cooperation of the citizen." Cards come in sleeve, rubber stamp on back in Japanese. They include The Atomic Cloud, What Remains of Commercial Exhibition Hall, Tomb Stone of Sairenji Temple / Roof Tiles of Explosion Center, Stuap-Shaped Tomb/Stone Lantern, Gas Tank/The Dead Man's Shadow, Ruins of the Explosion Center and Vicinity.
