This book is presented as "Bohn's Extra volume" because the publisher "doubts the propriety of including Count Grammont's Memoirs in his "Standard Library", as stated in a note printed on a preliminary page before the frontispiece. 546 pages. Notes and Illustrations on pp. 321-417; Index pp. 537-546. A beautiful engraving representing Nell Gwynne, protected by a thin paper. The initial and final endpapers contains advertisement for other Bohn's titles. The back board is cracked. Bound in pale brown cloth on hard boards, beautifully embossed with flower design, also on the spine. The round stamp "Henry Bohn's Extra Volume" is on both front and back cover. On the front cover, the stamp is partially spoiled by a brown spot. The backstrip is rubbed and worn especially on the edges, and the cornes of the book are bumped.
