About this Item

Right of Publishing transferred to the American Tract Society in the same year, 1839, it was first published by Spalding and Storrs. Sixteenmo (15.5 cm); 72 pp. Blind-stamped, ribbed brown cloth with bright gilt to spine; pale yellow endpapers. A near fine copy with none of the commonplace foxing or wear for a title this old. Certainly the best copy for sale. A biography of Normand Smith (1800-1833), a Hartford-born Christian who dedicated the last few years of his short life aiding the poor and disenfranchised.
