The book was first published in 1955. 190 x 135 mm, 138 pp, more than 130 songs, index. Design on title page adapted from title page of London Bills of Mortality during the Great Plague of 1665. Printed by the lower edge of the title page verso, 'This songbook is published for private circulation among members of the Medical Students' Society and is not supplied to non-members of the Society.' Previous owner's name and MUMC with a tiny pencil sketch by the upper corner of the title page. The book was originally soft-covered. It has been rebound in blue cloth boards, with a red title label on the front board. . A few blank pages are provided at the back for those songs the Society 'felt unable to print'. The songs were selected primarily for one attribute, their 'singability' -- they are all songs which the majority of people enjoy singing. Seller Inventory # 10554
