The thirteenth volume in Arthur Haygarth's monumental 14-volume work (a 15th was added by FS Ashley-Cooper in 1925 and a 16th-20th by Roger Heavens). Covers the period shown on the spine, 1874-76. The first four vols published by Frederick Lillywhite, the rest by Longmans for the MCC. A full set of "S&B" is an essential part of any cricket library. Large & thick 8vo. xxxii + 1184pp.Handsomely rebound in red half-calf over sand-grained cloth. Raised bands and gilt trim and tooling to spine, title in gilt lettering to spine. Edges rubbed, page edges marbled. Marbled pastedowns, end-papers a little foxed with a couple of pages also affected. Front free end paper half loose from bottom edge but holding. A good copy.
