Three inset city plans at top right, of New Haven, Waterbury and Meriden. View of State House at top left. According to Thompson, this was the first map for a Connecticut county published in the 1850's, during which maps of all of its counties were mapped. The only earlier map of Connecticut counties was the 1833 map of New London and Windham Counties by Williams Lester in 1833.
